Candy Thurs, Vice President of North Central Wisconsin at Legacy Private Trust Company, joined the company in 2020, bringing over 15 years of industry experience and a broad range of roles in private wealth management. Candy’s primary focus is delivering exceptional client service. She is deeply committed to building strong, lasting relationships with her clients, understanding their unique financial needs, and providing personalized solutions that help them achieve their long-term goals. Her dedication to client success is the cornerstone of her role, and she prides herself on being a trusted partner to those she serves.
In addition to her client responsibilities, Candy plays a key role in overseeing Legacy’s marketing efforts and supporting Legacy’s Financial Planning group. She also helped develop and launch the Wealth Associate Program, which she continues to lead. Her leadership in these areas ensures that both clients and team members receive the support and resources they need to thrive.
Candy completed her bachelor’s degree in business administration at Auburn University and holds both the Certified Trust and Fiduciary Advisor (CTFA) and Certified Wealth Strategist (CWS®) designations.
Since 2016, Candy has been an active board member of The Boys & Girls Club of the Wausau Area, serving in various leadership roles including Vice President, Board President, Executive Committee member, and Board Development Chair. She is also a former board member of the United Way of Marathon County and is an inaugural member of Impact100 Greater Wausau Area. Candy’s deep community involvement reflects her passion for giving back and making a meaningful impact in the Wausau area.
Outside of work, Candy and her husband enjoy supporting their son’s sports activities, frequently attending or volunteering at his baseball, basketball, and football games. Candy also enjoys downhill skiing, traveling, and contributing to various community causes. Her professional achievements and deep commitment to her community underscore her passion for serving others—both personally and professionally.
